House Fire

December17 @ 02:58 Hours

 St.2 was alerted for  a house fire on Sockertown Rd.. Upon arrival Engine 203 reported a two store residential home with fire in the rear of the house! Mutual Aid St. 3 Marion & St. 8 Lower Somerset. Fire is under investigation by Maryland State Fire Marshall's Office! Unit’s on scene for about 3hour.

House Fire

October 22, 2015 @ 15.23 Hours

 St.2 was alerted for mutual aid assist St.3 Marion on a house fire. Upon arrival Engine 202 reported a two store residential home with fire in the kitchen & garage! All Unit’s on scene for about 2hour.

Station 2 Commercial Building Fire
August 25, 2015

 7:55 AM St. 2 was alerted for a structure fire on Main St., Crisfield. Upon arrival Command 2 (Chief Pruitt) reported a single story, commercial building ( Heath’s Crab Pots) with smoke showing from the front door. First due Engine 203 started exterior attack, while incoming Engine 202 & Tower 205 staging. Fire was confined to the interior ceiling & roof area, under control in about one hour, all units on scene about 2 hours

250 (Chief Pruitt) had Command, Mutual aid St. 3 Marion, St. 8 Lower Somerset, CPD & Sheriff’s Department!

 

Station 2 House Fire

 10:05 Pm St. 2 was alerted for a structure fire on Franklin Lane, Crisfield. Upon arrival Command 2 (Chief Pruitt) reported a single story, single family home with heavy fire sides A, B & C & through the roof. First due Engine 203 started exterior attack, while incoming Engine 202 hit the hydrant with 5" supply line . Fire was placed under control in about one hour, all units on scene until 00:23 AM 

250 (Chief Pruitt) had Command, Mutual aid St. 3 Marion, St. 5 Princess Anne, Maryland State Fire Marshall’s Office & St. 8 Lower Somerset for medical rehab.

 

Station 2 House Fire
February 2
5, 2015

On Wednesday Night at 8:25 Pm St. 2 was alerted for a structure fire on Boone Rd. Upon arrival Command 2 (Chief Pruitt) reported a mobile home fire with heavy fire sides A, B & C. First due Engine 203 ran exterior attack lines until addition units arrived. Tanker shuttle was put in uses due to a lack of water supply! One fire fighter transported McCready Memorial Hospital for minor burns. Fire was put under control and units were on scene about 1:48 minutes.

250 (Chief Pruitt) had Command, Mutual aid St. 3 Marion, St. 5 Princess Anne, Maryland State Fire Marshall’s Office & St. 8 Lower Somerset for medical rehab.

 

Station 2 MVC
January 23
, 2015

St. 2 was dispatched to a MVC on Rte. 413 north of Crisfield, upon arrival Engine 202 reported two vehicle MVC involving a SUV and Jeep w/ boat & trailer with one priority 2 patient. Extrication was performed and patient packed and transported PRMC by St. 8 ( Lower Somerset). Vehicles were then cleared and the road reopened. On scene 1 hour

Station 2 House Fire
January 18
, 2015

St. 2 was dispatched to 26958 Old State Road north of Crisfield for a reported house fire, upon arrival Engine 203 reported a two story home with fire showing on side A & B attack lines were pulled and overhaul preformed. Fire Marshall's office determined the fire to be arson no arrest as of printing.

Station 2 Vehicle Fire

November 22, 2014 @ 10:01 Hours

 At 10 AM St. 2 was alerted for a vehicle fire #3 Jacksonville Rd. Upon arrival of Engine 203 OIC reported on scene fully involved pick up truck. Fire extinguished with one engine. All Unit’s on scene for 15 minutes. Mutual aid St, * Lower Somerset CPD.

 

Veteran's Day Ceremony

 On Veteran's Day November 11th Tower 205 participated in the Annual Elks Veteran's Day Ceremony, This is a breakfast to honor our Veterans with a morning ceremony. Tower 205 along with St. 5 (Princess Anne) welcomed the group with and arch flying the Stars & Strips

 

 

On Sunday & Monday October 28-29, 2012 The City of Crisfield was hit by the full force of hurricane Sandy. At around 10 AM Monday the 29th with winds in the 20-30 MPH range Sandy’s flood waters it rising to as much as 5-6ft in some places. Crisfield then was it with a steady 60 MPH wind with gust as high as 82 MPH for the next several hours, During this event Crisfield Fire St.2 answered calls non stop until about midnight for wires down smoke in the residence and evacuation.

As the light of day broke on Tuesday the 30th rescue operation started again, answering calls for fuel spills, wires & trees down medical assist, and a mass casualty style search & rescue operation of the area.

Operations Command was set up and Lower Somerset Ambulance Squad, due to flooding at St. 2, Maryland MEMA advise command that Crisfield hade taken a direct hit and was the worst damage in the state, Which directed all available resources to the Crisfield area.

After a completed grid to grid search of the general area in and around the city, as well as hundreds of calls for fuel spills, wires & trees down medical assist, Structure fires and other related runs the incident was wrapped up around 7PM on the 30th

A note during the storm and after rescue operation NO CAUSALITIES were reported.
